An Introduction To My Art Practice

I have had a lot of starts and stops with blogging, and it's been a number of years now since writing a post. I wrote poems and little essays for awhile alongside my art. It was an interesting endeavor to share my thoughts on some of the paintings that I was creating at the time. Since that time, I have used social media apps like Instagram and Twitter and decided that they weren't the right space for me. So now I am back here, on a brand new website, to carve out a bit of space for myself on my own terms, and less on the whims of a massive social media engine.

I hope to share some of my art process, like I occasionally do on Youtube with in-progress photos, videos and thoughts on creating. I also want to use this as a learning space and an opportunity to share art related topics and relevant news. Really, if we are being honest, I'm hoping to treat this blog like my own excuse to research more about a particular medium and test how it works; or learn more about some of my favorite artists, read more art history, discover some new (to me) artists.
